SUA Salutes Our 9-11 Heroes Friday, September 11, 2009 7:00 pm - 12:00 am Tickets: $50 On September 11, 2009, Society of Unique Artists will honor and celebrate the heroics of the members of the FDNY, who were involved in the 9/11 rescues. Not enough is said about the brave heroes who survived the tragedy and loss of September 11, 2001. Many of us remember our sense of helplessness and despair as we watched our two iconic New York City monuments attacked by ruthless terrorists. Yet incredibly, so many of New York’s Bravest risked their lives to enter the burning Towers in an effort to put out the fires and rescue the trapped survivors. Then, when the Towers collapsed, these audacious angels once again put their lives on the line to help their fellow man. On that day the public experienced first- hand the courage and sacrifice of the fearless men and women of the FDNY. On September 11, 2009, we will applaud the valor of these heroes with a celebration of art, food, music, and awards.
